It was abandoned in the 1940s as residents relocated to Kalskag, Aniak, Bethel and other towns. Ohagamiut is sometimes confused with another Yup'ik village on the Yukon River called Ohogamiut. == History == Ohagamiut has also been called ''Okhogamute''.
